We are Happy to inform that your film Mission Safeer 37 Days To Freedom submitted to us is a Finalist for the 3rd Edition of LIFFT INDIA FILMOTSAV-World Cine Fest 2019, Lonavla, which has received over whelming response of film makers from 53 countries from around the world.
We can only Screen 110 hours of films in total in 5 days of the festival and really feel at loss of not being able to screen the films falling under FINALIST.

VIRAF KEKOBAD & HANIF MODAK
Award-Winning Filmmaker
Capt. Viraf Kekobad was the joint owner of M V Safeer and has a merchant naval background.
MISSION SAFEER 37 DAYS TO FREEDOM is his first film as Producer and Director along with Mr Hanif Modak.
Capt. Viraf Kekobad's Merchant Navy career commenced in 1969 as a trainee cadet. He was in command of various multipurpose ships from 1979 till 1985 and became a ship owner thereafter.
Mr Hanif Modak has a been involved in ship management for last four decades and is son of Late Capt. Ibrahim Modak. M V Safeer was a Panama registered cargo ship and was owned by Capt. Ibrahim Modak, Capt. Viraf Kekobad and one more party.
Capt. Kekobad had played a key role along with Mr Hanif Modak , in being directly involved with this humanitarian mission, which brought 722 Indian Nationals to safety from war torn Kuwait. The evacuees were reunited with their families and got a new lease of life. It was the biggest evacuation by the Merchant Navy which was carried out free of cost.
Both of them decided to make this documentary so that the public at large can know about the massive challenges faced and true facts about this voyage.
They want the younger generations to know that even in the time of deep crisis if people join their hands together and believe in themselves,
there is always a way forward. NEVER LOSE HOPE.
